History

Ridin' High began as a small enterprise, powered by the heart and soul of one truck driver who wouldn't settle for anything less than the best when it came to accessorizing trucks. Owner Steve VanZytveld started offering Plexiglas bugshields for Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks in 1983. By 1985, Ridin' High's product line grew to include chrome wheel and bumper accessories.

In an effort to combat corrosion that typically accompanies West Michigan winters, Ridin' High began offering stainless steel accessories in the 1990s. Through a new business relationship with TerMolen & Hart, a sheet metal shop in the Heartside district of Grand Rapids, Ridin' High started contracting out its fabrication work and began offering custom-made stainless steel accessories by the late '90s to an ever-growing number of clients.

In 1999, after thirty years of driving truck, Steve VanZytveld purchased TerMolen & Hart and developed a Ridin’ High line of accessories. This accessory line supplements the products Ridin’ High offers from Roadworks Manufacturing, Lifetime Nut Cover, Rockwood, Eagle Flight, Grand General, and United Pacific. Ridin' High has completed a number of custom fabrication jobs for a variety of show trucks and was a challenger at the Mid American Truck Show's Big-Rig Build-Off in 2007.
